AI Product & Enablement Specialist
Job Description:
Purpose:
Serve as the technical backbone of the AI Hub. Design, build, productionise and maintain core AI/ML infrastructure and reusable components that will power the DT2.0 platform build, priority use cases, and the Group's intelligent transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Product Owner for the AI-Powered Technical Sales Presentation and Demo Facilitation capability (mission-critical priority) — driving roadmap, backlog, release cadence and adoption.
- Maintain deep, current technical understanding of the AI portfolio — every capability, integration and limitation — so demos, training and enablement materials are accurate and credible.
- Design, build and maintain interactive demos, sandbox environments and click-through prototypes that showcase AI capability to internal stakeholders and prospective clients.
- Drive business alignment, use-case refinement, value tracking and ROI measurement for all AI initiatives.
- Lead the design and rollout of workforce productivity tools and AI training programmes across development, operations, product and sales teams.
- Work closely with Sales, Product and Platform teams to embed AI into DT2.0 customer-facing components (Storefront, dashboards, self-service portals).
- Facilitate cross-functional AI Squads and secondments, ensuring strong collaboration and knowledge transfer.
- Translate AI capabilities into clear business value propositions and support pre-sales activities with product expertise, demos and enablement collateral.
- Produce enablement and value-proposition assets — case studies, demo videos, one-pagers and internal playbooks.
- Contribute to AI readiness assessments and governance processes from a business and user-experience perspective, aligned to the Responsible AI Policy, PCI-DSS and POPIA.
Requirements & Qualifications
- BSc Computer Science or equivalent technical degree preferred. Equivalent commercial backgrounds with strong technical fluency (engineering plus MBA, ex-consulting, ex-solutions architecture) will be considered.
- 3–6 years' experience in product management, technical product ownership, solutions engineering or AI enablement roles.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts — LLMs, RAG, agents, prompt engineering, model evaluation — sufficient to architect demos, qualify use cases and engage credibly with engineering on trade-offs.
- Demonstrated ability to build interactive demos, sandbox environments or click-through prototypes (familiarity with Storylane, Reprise, Navattic, or custom-built sandboxes is an advantage).
- Excellent storytelling, narrative design and stakeholder communication — comfortable presenting to senior internal stakeholders and supporting client-facing conversations.
- Experience producing enablement and value-proposition collateral — case studies, demo videos, whitepapers, internal playbooks.
- Experience in fintech, payments, SaaS or digital transformation environments is highly advantageous. Familiarity with the SA payments and banking landscape is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver training, enablement programmes or product readiness initiatives.
- Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for user-centric design and driving measurable business impact through technology.
What Success Looks like in 12 months:
- AI-Powered Technical Sales & Demo tools are in production and actively used by the sales team, contributing to shorter sales cycles and higher non-bank win rates.
- Internal AI adoption and productivity gains are measurable and visible across divisions.
- Multiple AI squads are running smoothly with strong business ownership and clear value delivery.
- A documented and reusable library of demos, case studies and enablement assets exists.
