Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Architect to assess and design a highly reliable DevOps environment within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, strong problem-solving skills, and experience leading cloud transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Design

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and highly available systems on AWS.
• Develop cloud architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Translate business requirements into technical cloud solutions.

Implementation & Deployment

• Lead the migration of on-premise systems to AWS.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Support CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure solutions follow AWS security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Implement identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and monitoring controls.
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments.

Performance & Cost Optimization

• Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Recommend cost-saving strategies (e.g., Reserved Instances, Spot Instances).
• Collaboration & Leadership
• Work closely with DevOps, engineering, and business teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Act as a subject matter expert for AWS-related initiatives.
• Documentation & Governance
• Maintain architecture diagrams and documentation.
• Establish governance policies for cloud usage.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Preferred AWS Certifications (one or more):
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud computing or IT infrastructure.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services.

Expertise in core AWS services:

• EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, VPN, load balancing, firewalls).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS/EKS).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins).
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR).
