Location: Pretoria
Experience Level: 1–3 years' experience and/or Honours graduate with strong extracurricular involvement (committees, societies, leadership roles)

Role Purpose:

The Marketing, Design & Communications Coordinator is responsible for the execution and day-to-day custodianship of all the Client's client-facing platforms, design outputs and marketing collateral.

This role is highly execution-focused, with a strong emphasis on:

  • Website management and optimisation
  • Design and content production
  • Brand consistency across all assets
  • High-quality marketing and proposal outputs

The role supports broader brand, communication and PR initiatives, while ensuring that all outputs meet a professional, consistent and high-quality standard

Key Competencies:

  • Strong visual design ability and attention to detail
  • High ownership and accountability for output quality
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (internal + external)
  • Comfortable working across design, content and digital platforms
  • Proactive, structured and delivery-focused
  • Strong written communication and copywriting ability

Technical Requirements:

Proficiency (or strong working knowledge) in:

  • Canva
  • Figma
  • WEB flow
  • Wix
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Basic understanding of:

    • Website structures
    • Branding systems and design consistency
    • LinkedIn content

Key Responsibilities

1. Custodian of Marketing Platforms & Digital Presence

Websites (Primary Responsibility)

  • Maintain and update all The Client Group websites
  • Design and build pages using Webflow / Wix
  • Implement updates to content, layout and structure
  • Ensure websites are:
  • Visually consistent and aligned to brand
  • Accurate and up to date
  • Easy to navigate and user-friendly

LinkedIn & Digital Content

  • Collaboratively conceptualise, design and publish LinkedIn content (±3–4 posts per week)
  • Create supporting visual assets (Canva/Figma/Adobe)
  • Maintain and update LinkedIn company pages
  • Monitor basic performance and engagement trends

Marketing & Event Collateral

  • Design and prepare collateral for:
  • Events
  • Career days
  • Internal and external communications
  • Coordinate printing and distribution where required

2. Custodian of Brand & Visual Identity

Brand Application

  • Ensure consistent application of:
  • Brand look-and-feel
  • Typography, colour and layout standards
  • Maintain quality and professionalism across all outputs

Collateral Development

  • Design, update and maintain:
  • Company profiles
  • Proposals and pitch decks
  • Brochures and marketing documents
  • Ensure all material is client-ready and professionally formatted

Brand Asset Management

  • Maintain a central repository of:
  • Logos, icons and imagery
  • Templates and design systems
  • Ensure:
  • Version control
  • Accessibility for relevant teams

Template Creation

  • Create and maintain templates for:
  • Proposals
  • Reports
  • Presentations
  • Continuously improve usability and consistency of templates

3. Marketing Design & Content Execution

  • Design high-quality:
  • Presentations (PowerPoint)
  • Documents (Word)
  • Marketing collateral
  • Translate content into visually compelling outputs
  • Assist with copywriting and refinement of messaging where required

4. Support to PR & External Communications (Light Coordination Role)

  • Support coordination with PR partner 
  • Assist with:
  • Opinion pieces and press releases (design + formatting)
  • Research on industry topics
  • Monitor industry trends (fintech, BaaS, PaaS) using tools like Google Alerts

5. Internal Communication Support

  • Assist with:
  • Newsroom updates (design + formatting)
  • Internal communication material
  • Design content for:
  • Office screens/TV displays
  • Support People & Culture initiatives through:
  • Design
  • Copy
  • Coordination

6. Support High-Quality Proposal & Business Outputs

  • Format and compile proposal submissions
  • Design and refine pitch decks and documents
  • Ensure all externally shared material is:
  • Professionally designed
  • Brand aligned
  • Consistent and high quality
