Divisional IT Manager - International (Sage ERP)

The Divisional IT Manager is responsible for leading the division's IT function, ensuring the effective delivery, support, and continuous improvement of technology services, infrastructure, and business systems.

As the primary technology partner to the business, the role will drive operational efficiency, service excellence, and digital transformation through the effective use of enterprise technology solutions. A key focus of the role is the leadership, delivery, and optimisation of Sage ERP projects and initiatives, ensuring business processes, reporting, and operational systems support the organisation's strategic objectives.

The organisation operates within a Microsoft technology environment, and the successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Group IT, and external partners to maximise value from technology investments.

Key Performance Areas

IT Leadership & Strategy:

• Lead the divisional IT function in alignment with business and Group IT objectives.
• Develop and implement technology plans that support operational efficiency and business growth.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners.

ERP Management & Project Delivery:

• Lead Sage ERP implementation, upgrade, migration, integration, and optimisation projects.
• Ensure Sage ERP supports business, financial, procurement, and operational requirements.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and reporting enhancements through Sage.
• Manage ERP vendors, consultants, and project partners.

IT Operations & Service Delivery

• Ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT services and business systems.
• Manage incidents, service levels, system availability, and user support.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives across the IT environment.

Governance, Risk & Security:

• Ensure compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity, and risk management requirements.
• Maintain business continuity and data protection standards.
• Support audit and compliance activities.

Financial & Vendor Management:

• Manage IT budgets, forecasts, contracts, and technology investments.
• Monitor vendor performance and service level agreements.
• Drive cost optimisation and value realisation from technology solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Relevant IT Degree or Diploma.
• ITIL certification.

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years' IT experience, including management and leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience leading Sage ERP projects, implementations, upgrades, migrations, or optimisation initiatives.
• Experience managing enterprise applications and IT service delivery functions.
• Demonstrated experience managing vendors, support partners, and third-party technology providers.

Advantageous:

• Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMBOK, SAFe, or equivalent).
• Leadership or Management Development qualification.
• Experience operating across multiple African countries.
• Exposure to Microsoft-based enterprise environments and cloud technologies.
